Question 1 (100 marks | Word limit: 3500 words)

Identify and refine a topic which you would like to examine further using research theory you have learnt in this subject. Write a research proposal.

The research problem should be related to the topic you have examined in Task 1 and Assignment 1 (Behavioural Finance). Students should use and synthetise the same literature review undertaken as part of Assignment 1 as the literature review component of Assignment 2.

The aim of this assignment is for students to identify a research problem, and use the literature and identify the research methods to further examine the problem and develop an evidence-based solution.
The research proposal is to be presented in the form of a report and must include the following:
• introduction
• aims of the research
• research problem
• research questions to examine (include no more than three (3) research questions)
• literature review (synthetised version of Assignment 1)
• research methods to be used and justification of the method
• target participants or respondents
• ethical issues to consider in the research
• sample of survey/questionnaire or interview schedule to be used or description of secondary data to be used
• conclusion.
You may use these dot points as headings in your report.
