Students will keep a Journal/Scrapbook concerning the subject of negotiation. This requirement is intended to be relatively unstructured. What I will be looking for is for the student to record and analyze personal experiences in negotiation (with your roommate, parent, professor, sales person, friend, etc.) and relate those experiences to what you have learned in class. Second, the student should find articles from the newspapers, magazines, journals, internet, etc. which concern negotiation and briefly comment on each. Provide the link to the article or attach the article itself to the journal.
The only caveat here is that students should not post articles, etc. which I have posted for our discussion during the course. Please do not journal chapters of our text books. I want you to come up with your own materials. Altogether, there must be a minimum of 16 entries. Each entry should be at least one page in length, double spaced. I would be happy to inspect a few draft journal entries prior to final submission to see if the student is on the “right track”.
