For this assignment:

• Write a research question addressing the selected topic. The research question should succinctly articulate the proposed scope of your project. The research question must be open-ended, invite consideration of broader historical issues, and be potentially answerable.
• Write one paragraph explaining the historical context and/or historiography relevant to your research question.
• Provide a preliminary annotated bibliography that includes at least four sources. Include both primary sources and scholarly secondary sources. Each entry in the annotated bibliography should be three to five sentences in length and summarizes the contents of each selected source and its relevance to the topic.
