Paper details:
Please read chapter 5 in your main text (Probation and Alternatives to Incarceration) and the Journal Article: From the Inside – The Meaning of Probation to Probationers, and complete the required summary document. Your summary document should include the following: 1) at least five major arguments presented in the chapter or at least five things you learned from reading the chapter, PLEASE NOTE – Just listing five items/points is not completing the order, (2) present a brief critique of the reading, and 3) your response to the critical thinking questions listed below.
Critical Thinking questions:
1. Why is there so much interest in probation and alternative sanctions today? How does the use of probation alternative sanctions affect the corrections system? Why is it used so extensively?
2. Discuss the stress encountered by probation officers, include the causes and suggestions on how to address this issue.
