Select and answer one of the following questions:
1. How would you access the way in which cultural theories (e.g., Schein’s Model; Hofstede’s Model,
Kluckhohn-Strodtbeck Model; and Trompenaars Model) might be applied to international management
practice? Answer this question with reference to a culture-related theory and contemporary business
practice.
2. With reference to a case of MNC (Multinational Corporation), design a case study for the purpose of
teaching executives of a corporation about the importance of understanding about dynamics of
international management (IM). You should pick a success or failure case that provides a powerful
example of how IM issues (e.g., Institutional dynamics, Cross-cultural management, WTO, International
trade and investment, NGOs, Sustainable Management and International Marketing) are central to the
function of an international corporation.
3. To what extent is corporate social responsibility (CSR) related to your country’s institutional and cultural
context?
Word length: You should write approximately 2000 words for this assignment. The absolute maximum
length is 2,000 words, including footnotes, but excluding references and appendices. Please state clearly the
word count of your document.
