The project is a Phd thesis for defense. The main object of the research is a comparative map of two universities cities through cultural production (cultural activities such as theater, music festivals, etc.) and the culture of these cities where universities have great economic and social relevance economy.
In both cities, there are a lot of universities institucions, but in both cases they are a very strong player in local, national and international scene, so data from these two universities are the main sources of research.
The thesis must have a conceptual basis in cultural management, cultural policy, cultural enterprises, creative economy, cultural consumption, cultural valuation of consumer goods, to analyze the comparative of the cities, and in the final considerations should also be taken if the two have the potential to incorporate the English concept of Smart Cities.
I have already collected basic statistics, reports, results of interviews that I conducted, surveys of administrative information from universities, library pictures of administrative documents and cultural events, and a good bibliographic database, but I should incorporate more references.
I have a proposal for the structure of the chapters, the completed thesis must have between 200 and 240 pages and in this number of pages I´m not counting attachments such as tables, indexes of figures, cover, general index, etc.
