The right hand rule is used in Physics to find several properties of conventional current (“flow of positive charge”) in terms of magnetic fields. There are two.
1) Right hand rule no. 1 It determines the directions of , conventional current, and the magnetic field. If you are given two of these, the third one can be found. ##->## Your thumb points in the direction of the magnetic force ##->## Your index finger points in the direction of the conventional current (the direction in which the current is flowing) ##->## Your middle finger points in the direction of the magnetic field
2) Right hand rule no. 2 It determines the direction of the magnetic field surrounding a current carrying wire, or vice-versa.
##->## Your thumb points in the direction of the conventional current flow ##->## The way your fingers naturally curl around the wire indicates the direction of the magnetic field.
