You will select a topic on communication processes in organizations and investigate academic articles on the topic. Choose topic that is interesting to you and you think it can help you develop a better understanding of organizational communication theories and processes. Examples of such topics are decision making, leadership, diversity, emotions in organizations and many others.

In your analysis of this topic, you much cite minimum three academic journal articles. The articles you choose should have been published during the last 15 years. Feel free to use Internet search engines to help find these articles. Using library databases is the best strategy. Even when using library databases, make sure to verify that the articles are be from academic journals (see sample list below). On average, an academic article will be about 15-20 pages long, you can not analyze an article which is 2-3 pages long. Some of your articles may incorporate a description of an original research, others can be theory based essays. Popular media sources like newspapers or webpages while may contain good information do not qualify for an academic source.

You should write a single-spaced 750-1500 analysis of the topic. Please include the following information:

Summary of the topic/issue selected for analysis
Discussion of how your selected topic has been studied by the researchers in your selected academic journals.
Description of research methods and limitations of these studies
Discussion of how your knowledge is extended by the research under consideration
Full citation of articles in APA (or MLA)
