Question 1: Identify and explain how at least three cultural differences between them and their students may affect teaching and learning. Identify and describe at least three things the teacher can do to ease newcomers into the routines in the classroom when they know little or no English.

Question 2: Describe the type of classroom suggested by the following three views of language acquisition: behaviorist, innatist, and interactionist. For each type of classroom, discuss the teacher’s role; how errors will be treated; and grouping patterns, such as whole class, small group, and individuals working alone. Use examples throughout your discussion as you visualize specific classrooms that reflect each of the three language acquisition theories.
