Proposal for Action
Now that you’ve explored a nonprofit and have become comfortable with your topic, pick an angle related to
the topic in order to propose action to your nonprofit organization. Using your research skills and the
Consortium Library, begin searching for articles and books that have been published within the past 5 years
that deal specifically with your topic. You will research the issue, the cause, and the effects of the issue
the nonprofit works towards solving. You will research to see if there are similar projects in other states
in order to find a possible solution that would work for our local community – Anchorage.
Part 3

Multimedia PSA
You will create a multimedia presentation for the final part of this unit. Based off of your research and
proposed course of action, you will create a public service announcement (PSA) bringing attention to the
issue and advocating for your possible solution. You have several options (listed on the following page) for
the PSA and hopefully you will have fun with this project.
